Re: #23 OU vs #14 Baylor Wednesday

Tonight's win by the Sooner Women over Baylor is an example of a team that just does not quit, ever. They were down by 10 or more for about half of the time but they just kept playing. They finally broke thru and took the lead late in the 4th period after battling for 3 quarters to get back. Vann's...

Re: #23 OU vs #14 Baylor Wednesday

I play cards on Wednesday night, so I had to follow the score on my phone! Luckily, I recorded the game so I'm off to watch it now!

Re: What do you all think about our new Men’s Basketball coach?

I like him. I love watching teams play good defense and that is obviously a priority for him. I like his energy and enthusiasm on the bench. Can you imagine him and BV in a conversation?????

I'm not an expert, but I like her. It speaks well for her that there were minimal transfers after she arrived. And you have to love the success the team has had thus far.

Re: Was Gabby Injured?

There were a couple of good shots of her on the TV broadcast last night and she didn't seem to be protecting her arm. Hopefully, we'll get her back soon!

Re: OU Women vs Rogers State

I had to laugh when the announcer mentioned that the 3 point line had been moved back to the international distance just before Robertson hit a 3 from about 6 feet behind that line.

Re: So what's your OU/SoonerTimes story?

I became a Sooner Fan at a very young age. My parents took me to my first OU football game when I was about 1 year old. It was an OSU game. Back then, OSU fans rang cowbells all the time! There was an OSU fan sitting near us and every time he rang his cowbell, I cried. My parents asked him to stop a...

History of Girls Basketball in Oklahoma

I think we sometimes forget that girls (or women's, if you prefer) basketball has a long history in Oklahoma. It didn't just start when D1 colleges started playing. Basketball was the ONLY sport girls were allowed to play for decades and it was only played in the smaller schools, Class A and below. ...
