Re: Monday's Semi's: Gators vs Sooners --- Cardinal vs Longhorns

I think Patty starts Deal, but keeps her on a short leash. I just hope to see her bring her best game and doesn't offer any beach balls. And when she gets ahead of a batter, especially with two strikes that she does not put the ball over the middle of the plate. I really hope Deal can go 5 innings a...

Re: Sunday's Elimination Games---Who Ya Got??? Being Reported Games Pushed Back to 5pm

I like Stanford in general, but watching Texas hold them to no runs leads me to believe UCLA takes the win. As bad as Florida was manhandled by Texas, I have trouble taking Bama. I am going with Florida to bounce back.

Re: Saturday WCWS Games --> Sooners vs Bruins and Texas vs Florida

If Maxwell pitches today, it would be beneficial if there is low humidity, I hope she finds her pitching exit. I watched her hold Texas in check and the ball left her hand very close to her left leg. When she did, she was very effective. She did not do it often on her last outing. She needs to limit...

Re: Bedlam game #1

Lack of off speed pitching has been a weakness all year. Disappointing that pitching staff has not seen necessity of developing.

Re: OU Softball Hosts BYU at Love's Field: Thu, Fri, Sat in 3 games

OU's pitching and hitting are suspect. Lack of focus, enthusiasm and execution is a recipe for failure. Wish I could be more positive.

Why are our pitchers seldom

utilizing off-speed/change-ups in their repertoire? I am thinking about Maxwell, Deal and Monticelli. Use of these pitches would keep batters off balance. While opponents have not scored a lot of runs (45) or homeruns, I believe our pitchers can be even more efficient.

OU sets new NCAA record for overall team score

198.950. This one should stand for decades.

Re: Portal for 2024

Given that there is no way to know who will be available in the portal, I think Patty could look seriously for a catcher, 2 pitchers, and several infielders. Need to find quality players who can hit and have power and can play defense. With the loss of so much production and experience, next season ...

Portal for 2024

With 10 players graduating at the end of this season, I expect that Patty will hit the portal for a significant number of players. I recognize that the incoming class will have a significant number of potential contributors. However there are a lot of unknowns that can't be measured until Fall pract...

Who's number 1

Houston took down ESPN's number 1 rated Texas last night 12-10 in 10 innings. Texas could not handle the pressure. With a sweep of Iowa State the Sooners should be back as unanimous number 1 in both polls.

Just look at LSU's scores on the road compared to their home contests. They definitely benefit from "gifts" at home.

on when Danae Fletcher is expected to return following her injury? And when can we expect to see Dani Sievers in more routines? We are missing their scores.

Re: Mackenzie Estep, 2025 Commit

Sooners just added another 4 Star, Blakley Roten. I don't have her rating, but she is a great addition to this already outstanding class.
