Re: Who was the most accurate recent QB
Bradford was better than people remember nowadays, particularly rolling left and throwing on the run.

Re: OU's NIL Situation.....
I give to NIL, but my issue with all of it is that hardly anyone knows what the truth is. Nobody other than the players really know who's getting offered what and what the terms are, at least that I'm aware of. Players at some other schools have said they didn't get what they were promised, and all ...

Re: Bama,s future
I certainly don't blame Saban for leaving, he's 72 and being a coach today, especially with the high expectations he created has to be a draining job. I've only been to a game at Alabama once, in '03 when we pulled off the infamous fake punt and won a close game. Their fans were very friendly at tha...

Re: Predict OU record 2024 regular season
Brisket: it’s my impression that there is a ton of returning competitive depth on defense. What you said does not click with what many are saying. Pretty much the whole D returns for their 3rd year in BV’s system. It may be "competitive," but it isn't "experienced." OU is counti...

Re: Venables Announces Defensive Staff Change
Good. Nothing against Ted, but he's clearly on the backside of his career and didn't seem to bring a lot of juice in recruiting or the linebacker play frankly. An energetic up-and-comer who's building a career is probably what we needed, and what a lot of people wanted when Roof was hired initially.

Re: My early thoughts of next year
I agree with most of what you are saying. I will say I think the defensive stats are somewhat skewed by uneccessary up-tempo offense combined with a good bit of that being up-tempo 3 and out, and quick scores against lesser teams, so our defense spent more time on the field and had to defend more pl...

Re: Texass vs Washington
Occurred to me watching that game that Texas and OU are very close to being the same team. Defend the run well, not so much the pass. Throw it pretty well at times, don't run it as well. Texas has a little more overall talent, I'd argue better offensive coaching than we had this year, but the differ...

Re: Alabama
Their center snapped the ball worse than Raym, and I've not been a big Raym fan, particularly after he opted out causing two guys to have to play positions they hadn't played in a game all year in the bowl game. Raym's no first round pick and had no business opting out IMO. There, been wanting to ge...

Re: My early thoughts of next year
I'd also like to see less reliance on the RPO, which isn't new or innovative anymore and most of the time its just a bad looking run fake. Gabe Ikard doesn't like the RPO at all. He thinks it allows the defense to dictate what the offense can do. Can't say I understand exactly how or why that is th...

Re: This is Where We Are?
I think some of that no class taking stuff is a little bit of crazy talk speculation. Some legislators or university presidents won't let that stuff happen, nor do I think they should. Things I've heard about major college football breaking away from the NCAA and forming their own organization make ...

Re: My early thoughts of next year
I hate to hype kids that haven't played a down, but the O Line could be made to look a lot better by the #1 RB in the country coming in. We haven't had anybody who could make plays on their own without perfect blocking for the most part. Our D will be good against the run, and if we can get any pres...

Re: Listening to Game Day this morning...
They must still be profitable or they wouldn't be doing it. But I think the opt-out insanity is not sustainable, because people tune out of bad games and advertisers aren't going to keep paying big $ for low rated second halves of blowouts or bad games. Fans being asked for more NIL money aren't goi...

Re: Early Signing Starts
Just because I like to remind people, Trent Williams was a 3* rated guard when he signed out of Longview. Getting hung up on star ratings is a fool's errand to some degree. I like the kind of guys we're signing, and I'm sure Cayden Green taught them a valuable lesson about vetting a guys family infl...

Re: If you Could
Portal window is too early, signing days are too early. If you want to transfer wait until the fall, you're not entitled to join your new team for spring practice. NIL, they're going to have to do something like they've proposed which they basically make players employees based on sharing TV revenue...
