JA needed a mentor to make the transition from HS to SEC CFB . There was NO QB coach NO former QB on staff and a less than adequate OC for the Challenges . Combine that with an OL that was the worst Bedenbaugh produced and it was a recipe for JA to lose his confidence and that is what happened ...

For Phil Steele to say those things and put OU at 9 he mst be super impressed. He normally is very reluctant to make big year to year changes….

With the improvements at offense i think we are in every game, which is a huge improvement.

The OL is always the question mark but i have faith that Bedenbaugh comes through after a bad year last year. I dont think he has 2 bad years in a row.

IMO stays…learns the system improves….is ready when Mateer leaves after this season….or if Mateer is injured….

If Mateer does not leave after this system (slim chance) then Hawk will be ready to start almost anywhere ….
