Re: The Wedding
I am 99% sure the wedding ceremony took place in Glass Chapel and the reception was in Stoney Creek Hotel - Broken Arrow.

Re: Venables Announces Defensive Staff Change
I have seen Zach Arnett's name tossed around as one possible replacement, but as DC AND LB coach.
I think Bates gets moved to sole DC and they hire a LB coach
Personally, while I'm dreaming, I'd love to see them hire Glenn Schumann.

Re: This is Where We Are?
Since NIL isn't controlled by any one entity (50 states so 50 sets of rules/laws), it is not likely that anyone will ever be able to achieve any type of consensus on what will "fix" the amounts of NIL $$$ being paid. Regarding the transfer portal - all that is necessary to stop that madnes...

Re: Well that was a disappointment
My thoughts/opinions on the game: Simply put, OU beat OU. I can't think of any game at any level that I've seen or heard, or read about, where a team committed 6 turnovers and won the game. The turnovers are all on the players, not the coaches (some fans have a difficult time separating those 2). Cl...

Re: OKLAHOMA vs. AZ in ALAMO BOWL: Game Thread...
I will be interested in the situational play calling and game management first and foremost. This will be the first test to show me that my reservations about Seth were unfounded (I truly hope they are). Following that, I think we see a confident JA preview his talents for Sooner fans, with no holdb...

Official now. Will tampering be investigated or naw? https://x.com/Josh_Scoop/status/1737141833296130240?s=20 Who is going to invstigate it? The NCAA? :D :D :D They have no jurisdiction over NIL, they haven't been consistent in their investigations in decades. I think the end result is that everyon...

Re: Mirror NfL Free Agency
I think the main reason that College will never be able to mirror NFL free ageny is that you have to keep in mind that the NFL free agency process and $$$ paid are all under the control of the NFL. College NIL and Portal transfers are not even close to that. Each state has their own NIL rules (which...

Re: Thin with OL for bowl
I think it's likely that the starting OL will be some mix of Rouse (LT), Heath Ozaeta (LG), Joshua Bates (C) Mettauer (RG), Jacob Sexton (RT), and/or possibly Caleb Shaffer (RG & LG). Since Bird and Green are in the Portal, and Guyton and Raym declaring for the NFL , they won't be practicing wit...

Re: SEC Fact of the Day
When I lived and worked in Alabama during the mid 1970's, Auburn was looking for their identity (I think they still are). They were the War Eagles, the Plainsmen and of course the Tigers. Eventually they might find one that fits and stick with it.

Re: If you Could
I have some suggestions for the NIL/Transfer Portal problem. They won't be popular, but it would change how both operate. They may not even be practical, but... 1. Allow the player to have the option of being immediately eligible to play, or receiving NIL for his first year, but not both (requiring ...
