Bahl was locked on the target when she came in. First time this year I've seen Hansen with 3 strips of blue tape on the chest protector, usually it's 1 strip. This has to be right up at the top of OU softball games from coming back to win in extra inning on PG birthday and the last game played at Marita Hynes field.Sooners vs Clemson Game 2 Thread

This game was reminiscent of the Lauren Chamberlin walk off vs Tennesee in 2013 and the Shay Knighten Home Run vs Florida in 2017! Both were seasons of DESTINY!

Agreed! I feel like that was the championship game and I’ll say it again Clemson was massively under rated. I’m not sure there will be a better team at the WCWS left for us to face.White River wrote: ↑Sat May 27, 2023 4:29 pmThis game was reminiscent of the Lauren Chamberlin walk off vs Tennesee in 2013 and the Shay Knighten Home Run vs Florida in 2017! Definitely like that Tenn game in that OU was down 3 in the 11th, and down to their last strike twice before tying it up and eventually winning in the 12th. And let's not forget the game against Tulsa in the 2017 Regional where OU trailed 4-2 in the 10th and Caleigh Clifton hit a 2-run bomb to tie it up, and then Sydney Romero won it with a 2-run blast of her own. I've come to believe it's never over till it's over, but must admit I put that belief to the test today.White River wrote: ↑Sat May 27, 2023 4:29 pmThis game was reminiscent of the Lauren Chamberlin walk off vs Tennesee in 2013 and the Shay Knighten Home Run vs Florida in 2017! Wow wow wow. What a game. Couldn’t be happier for all of them, but particularly Kinzie, Tiare and Jordy.
And - the number of viewers for the ABC game ESPN picked had to be negatively impacted by the number of people watching our game. Ha!

Here is another ongoing win streak.....we haven't lost a home game since we lost to Wisconsin in the 2019 Regionals. Perhaps somebody knows what that current streak is---or knows where to find it.

By my calculations our home winning streak is at 65 consecutive games. The Sooners did lose to Wisconsen at home in the regionals in 2019 but they also lost at home to North Texas on 2/29/2020. The Sooners then won 7 straight at home before covid ended the season. In 2021 the Sooners went 21-0 at home. In 2022 they were 18-0 and in 2023 they were 19-0. That total comes to 65.TropicalSooner wrote: ↑Sat May 27, 2023 6:22 pm

I believe WR is correct. The home win streak is currently 65 games. You can go to SoonerStats.com to find historical records of OU softball.

Something to ponder as we hand out accolades
It was Rylie Boone who singled with no outs when OU trailed Texas by two, before Jayda tied it.
It was Boone who singled yesterday before Haley Lee hit a grand slam.
It was Rylie Boone who singled today when OU was down three before Kinzie Hansen tied it.
Notice a trend?

Righteous stats, OU Guy!
Is it Boone, or the top of the batting order coming up after her? I love her as a person and a SB player Just a question.
Clutch comes up often in conversations. Boone seems to sense when it is time to be great, or take it to another level! No more current news than the Super Regionals! Boomer Sooner!
