Congrats to Val. I think we really showed she wasn't, but they won't give it to a Sooner every yaer.
I really couldn't choose between any of our players for the award. To may deserve it, imo.

Yep, we hung TWO, count 'em, TWO additional losses on Cagle for the season.Oklahombre wrote: ↑Tue May 30, 2023 8:50 pm Congrats to Val. I think we really showed she wasn't, but they won't give it to a Sooner every yaer.

She is a good player, maybe she won the MVP award because of Sooner fatigue, who knows?

My choice for POY would be either Coleman or Jennings.

With no disrespect to any Sooner player as Coleman, Jennings, Brito and Hansen are all probably the best player at their position defensively and have had very good years on offense.
But, if I had a vote, I would have voted for Kiki Malloy. A .425 BA, .573 OB% and a .993 Slug% (25 HRs) with 38 of 39 stolen bases and only one error as she played a really good CF for Tennessee is very difficult to ignore. the only thing that Malloy does not do is throw the ball really well. But she has an adequate arm.
