The model I'm watching still is showing about +3 F on Friday 6am for OKC.
It's probably a given that the wind will be 25-45.
Getting a new run now, but it's been relatively consistent all week.
Things can change tho. Still a week out.
og&e is already typing up their press release telling how because of the cold weather they will need to raise rates for the next 40 years.
it's hard to say "good thing" when there is talk of -20 wind chills, but I suppose it's a good thing the predictions don't have it sticking around to long, I see low 60's for western Oklahoma and Kansas by the following Wednesday. I tell you taking care of livestock in below freezing temperatures for two weeks back in 2020 was nasty, the day it got up to 10 degrees I pulled off one of the 3 or 4 coats I had on because it felt so nice.
Sometime between now and January,1st, I will be out in Beaver and Texas* counties finishing our last irrigation well. Plus, I will be out there when the drilling rig gets to drilling, and then I will be getting the connections to the new wellhead and the underground water pipeline and getting gas lines to the new well location. The lows have been in the lower single digits and look like it will be that or some lower temperatures, plus the wind blows out there on the prairie. Back in my younger years, much younger years it didn't bother me much as we were used to hot and wind in the summer and cold and wind. Someone has to do the dirty deeds and that is my job. I had hoped to get all of that work in late October or early November ... no such luck.

Walt, let us know when that well starts making ice cubes so we can stock up for next summer.
I will do so. However, please come and pick up all the ice cubes. At 1500 GPM [GPM = Gallons Per Minute], you will have plenty of ice cubes for the USA's need for ice cubes on New Year's Day.

It will stay cold enough they wouldn't melt before I got home if the forecast is right. I’d be set for the next year. Seriously, I don’t envy you at all.
If you need help doing all that let me know. I’m really good at supervising, you know, standing around and drinking coffee, telling you what a great job you are doing, cracking jokes, sitting in the truck to get warm, etc.
