I was wondering the same thing. Looked like White was trying to hold him back from doing something...

I'll make a guess, he was wanting a piece of the home plate umpire.

I think that is correct. They felt he was inconsistent and that Lyon's HR was a gift since the pitch before should have been called a strike. I got that off of one of their boards.BudaSooner wrote: ↑Thu Jun 09, 2022 10:06 pm I'll make a guess, he was wanting a piece of the home plate umpire.

Mike White said in his presser that the ump had that HR ball that came back on the field and the Texas coach wanted it to give to her parents, but the ump kind of blew him off till the game was over. And then rolled it "very hard" at the UT coach when he finally gave it to them. True or not, who knows. But that's what Mike White said.
I may not always be right, but I'm never wrong!

That's a bummer to hear - he surely knew that the parents were going to get a ball to represent it. They did it for every single HR in the WCWS. Not sure why it was so important for him to get the actual ball, but I get it - emotions running high.EMan wrote: ↑Thu Jun 09, 2022 10:37 pm Mike White said in his presser that the ump had that HR ball that came back on the field and the Texas* coach wanted it to give to her parents, but the ump kind of blew him off till the game was over. If Mike White is telling the truth, the umpire is an @#$&%ole and deserved to be ‘confronted’ - how hard is it to give the Texas bench the ball after the home run comes back into the field.

Looking at that amazing catch picture, Jayda shows she can fly....just like SuperGirl! Just look how far above the fence she got! Just A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!
