Men's & Women's Cross Country @ Big 12 Championships on Friday

The Oklahoma Sooner Men's and Women's Cross Country Teams will compete in the Big 12 Championships in Lubbock, TX on Friday. The Women's 6K start will be at 10 AM with the Men's 8K start will be at 11 AM.

There will be 8 Men's Team competing from the Big 12 with 9 Women's Team competing.

Baylor, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas, TCU, Texas Tech, West Virginia (women only)

The Women's 6K for the Big 12 Championship was won by #3 Oklahoma State with an impressive team effort with all 5 scoring runners finishing in the top 8 runners. In fact all 7 of their runners finished in the top 12 runners. Here is the order of the Big 12 teams.

1st - #3 Oklahoma State - 22 points
2nd - #28 West Virginia - 49 points
3rd - Iowa State - 64 points
4th - Texas - 130 points
5th - Oklahoma - 145 points
6th - Baylor - 180 points
7th - Kansas State - 197 points
8th - Kansas - 219 points
9th - Texas Tech - 239 points
10th - TCU - 246 points
For the Sooners their runners finished in this order.

(FR) O'Brien - 19th place - 18 points
(SR) Kaplan - 29th place - 27 points
(SO) Barrera - 30th place - 28 points
(SR) Medina - 33rd place - 31 points
(SO) Williams - 44th place - 41 points
Additional Sooners were (FR) Clifford in 51st place, (JR) Rinn in 57th place, (FR) Lowry in 63rd and (FR) Sklenska in 64th.

The Women's performance was a big improvement over their 9th place finish in 2021.

In the Men's 8K Big 12 Championships, Oklahoma State's runners did even better then their Women runners as they finished in 1st place also. Oklahoma State's top 5 runners finished in the top 7 runners. Their seven runners also finished in the top 12 runners. Here is the order of the Big 12 teams.

1st - #4 Oklahoma State - 21 points
2nd - Iowa State - 57 points
3rd - #23 Texas - 59 points
4th - Kansas State - 123 points
5th - Kansas - 159 points
6th - Texas Tech - 181 points
7th - Baylor - 195 points
8th - Oklahoma - 220 points
9th - TCU - 263 points
For Oklahoma, their runners finished in these positions.

Caso (SO) - 28th place - 25 points
Gledhill (JR) - 55th place - 46 points
Mghan (SO) - 56th place - 47 points
Morales (JR) - 60th place - 50 points
Seger (FR) - 62nd place - 52 points
Additional Sooners were (SR) Knepshield in 68th place and (FR) Makuei in 79th place.
