OU Women's Tennis-Signings for 2022-23 &2023-24 and the 2023 Schedule

Post by OUBeliever56A »

Here are a couple of things having to do with the OU Women's Tennis Team for the 2023 Spring Season. The OU Women's Team was the National Runner-Up in the Spring of 2022.

Player Singings for the Season:

Earlier, there was an announcement of a player from Russia signing to play for the Sooners, Dana Kudashova. But in checking the OU Roster for the 2022-2023 season, she is not there. So, it seems that there was a hiccup along the way in her joining the team. Maybe she decided to go pro instead of playing college tennis.

But two other signings have been announced for the 2022-23 season that are listed as Freshman on the OU Roster.

Julia Garcia Ruiz - Here is her signing announcement (July 6, 2022):

Romana Cisovska - Here is her signing announcement (Oct 20, 2022):

I do not think Cisovska participated in any of the Fall schedule in 2022 for the Sooners. Garcia Ruiz did though as she participated in the ITA Central Regional and the ITA Nartional Fall Championship.

One other signing was announced for the 2023-24 season.

Tiantsoa Sarah Rakotomanga Rajaonah - Here is her signing announcement (Nov 17, 2022):

The Sooners also announced their 2023 Spring Schedule. Here is that announcement:

The National runner-ups return their entire lineup from the 2022 team. That should bode very well for the Sooners as they try to improve on their best-ever finish in 2022. The additions of Garcia Ruiz and Cisovska should provide added depth for the team in 2023.

The team's first action in 2023 is in mid-January as they host Missouri and Tarleton State on Jan 14th at the Headington Family Tennis Center at 11 AM/2 PM and then on January 17th as they host Wyoming at 5 PM. The Headington Family Tennis Center is located just west of the Lloyd Noble Center on Chautauqua.

I never made it out to watch the Women's Tennis Team in 2022. I need to correct that in January this year!
