The Oklahoma Sooners Women Host TCU Tonight at 6 PM - Free Admin

Post by OUBeliever56A »

Oklahoma announced that the admission is free tonight to the Women's Basketball Game against TCU that starts at 6 PM. The 20th ranked Sooners will attempt to break their two-game losing streak from last week against TCU who is winless in conference play. OU is in 3rd Place behind Iowa State and Texas (OU lost to both teams last week) and a game ahead of Baylor and West Virginia. The OU-TCU game is the only game on the Women's side tonight in the Big 12.

The game will be on ESPN+ with Chad McKee and Pooh Williamson on the call. If you decide to stay inside where it is warm instead of taking advantage of the free ticket tonight to attend the game at LNC. The game will also bon the radio on the Sooner Radio Network. (KREF 99.3 FM/1400 AM in Norman and KOKC 95.3 FM/1520 AM in OKC).

Here is the pre-game staff writers article about the OU-TCU matchup tonight.

The Oklahoma Sooners need to play well tonight and pick up an easy win over the Horned Frogs. In their earlier game this season OU won by 27 points 93 - 66. The Sooners led 59-32 at halftime. Oklahoma needs to go out and play "the game against the game" instead of playing the opponent tonight. By that I mean, play the game making good passes, not taking chances on a throw it and hope the pass gets to the Sooner player. It also means take care of the ball on the dribble. They need to get out on the break and score at the bucket while playing strong defense and rebounding. When they don't get out on the break, they need to run their offense and work for a good shot and not force a shot. Just play the game smartly and efficiently. The Sooners need to regain some momentum tonight as thy play West Virginia on Saturday in LNC. West Virginia has surged to their 5-3 record in conference play.

The Sooner can and should win easily tonight if they just go out and play well from the opening tip to the final buzzer.

It sounds like there will be a 'ceremony/celebration' to honor Taylor Robertson's career 3-point bucket record that she established against Iowa State last game. She now owns first place all-time for men or women in college basketball with 503 THREE's. She also has made a THREE in 62-consecutive games which is a conference record.

Good luck to the Sooner Women tonight.
