OU's Freshman Gymnasts, Faith Torrez. was selected the Big 12 Gymnasts of the week for her performance against TWU as the Bristol, Wis., native competed on three events in Oklahoma's win and matched career highs on floor (9.950) and beam (9.900), while also posting a 9.800 on bars. Torrez earned her third floor title and matched a personal-best on the event for the fourth time this season. She also tied a career high on beam for the third time in 2023.
