The Oklahoma Sooner Women's Tennis Team opens their Big 12 Outdoor Season this weekend on Texas. The Sooners will play Texas in Austin on Friday at 1 PM and then travel to Waco to play Baylor on Sunday afternoon at 1 PM. Both matches maybe followed on Live Stats this weekend. The career history for the OU - Texas series is not good. But in 2022 the Sooners defeated Texas twice in a row in February and March. Since then Texas has won 3 matches in a row. i wish the Sooner Women much good luck today in breaking that run of wins by Texas.

In their last outing the Sooner Women's Team defeated Wichita State 7-0 at home at the Tennis Center.

The Oklahoma Women's Tennis Team rebounded well to defeat Baylor on sunday in Waco 6-1. the win over Baylor evens up their conference record at 1-1 after they dropped their match to Texas on Friday in Austin. It is great that the Women got back on the winning side on Sunday. Dana Guzman was out for the Sooners on Sunday with Romana Cisovska filling her spot. Guzman usually plays in the #2/#3 singles position and #3 Doubles Team. #4 thru #6 all stepped a spot in singles with Ivana Corley filling in at #6 and Cisovska filled in on the #3 doubles team.

Here is the staff writers article about the win.
