The Oklahoma Sooners Women's Team swept their match against the Kansas State Wildcats on Friday 4-0.

K-State, for some reason only has 5 players that are able to play this season. There are six players on the roster but one must be injured or ineligble. It is surprising to me, that the Tennis Coach could not hold tryouts from the student body to come and play for them to help out. It seems lazy of the K-State program. For that reason the Sooners automatically wins the #6 singles match and goes into the singles with one match one out of the two required to win the double point.

The #15 Corley Sisters playing in the #1 Doubles Match won 6-1 to win the Doubles Point for OU. I:n the #2 Doubles Match, No. 34 Layne Sleeth and Alexandra Pisareva were down 3-2 when the double Point was won by OU.

In the Singles Matches, Pisareva defeated Farhat Quamar 6-2, 6-2 on court four. To clinch the match, Julia Garcia Ruiz took down Gruzezynska 6-3, 6-1 at the No. 5 spot.

When play was halted, No. 57 Sleeth was up 6-3, 4-1 over Dekkers at the top court. No. 121 Carmen Corley was down 7-6 to Suarez on court two and No. 89 Dana Guzman was up 6-2, 5-1 to Ukita at the No. 3 spot.
