OU Guy said 5 for June and he hit it, with a few days left, he could add to that number!
Congrats!

Newbie here. I am part of some other boards. This was recommended. Glad to be here. Long-time Sooner fan born in Hollywood, CA. Family from Tulsa, Arky and Texsa. Listened to Little Joe save us on the radio as a kid. Boomer.
The headline says, "OU one of most improved defensive units for 2023"
How do they know?
I guess on-paper talent counts for something. But imo very little. I am anticipating great improvement on defense in 2023. But claiming too much before a single snap sets up the coaches to fail.

I agree, its too early to tell. But this staff is on the clock and will need to make big jump from last year. I look at 6-7 and all the changes we had and think it was somewhat misleading. Not misleading in the sense we were not going anywhere last year and that was our record, but fans were happy to get BV. On the flip side we lost 4 games by a FG and that tells us they were not a horrible team and were those FGs away from 10-3. And 2 bad loses without our QB. Then throw in some great additions and we should improve a lot. I think we can make the B12 title game.
Watching the team get gutted and rebuilt has been both agonizing and fun. We were never going to compete in SeC with the prior staff so now we have to let BV and crew go to work. We are still getting top recruits even with that 6-7 record so I think recruits can see what we’re building. And now we’ll have a 5* qb as backup. I followed Arnold HS games last year and that kid can throw but also is an outstanding runner. But he only ran as last resort most times unless it was designed run. He threw a ton of tight window throws. He will have to learn college speed like all qbs but I have a lot of faith in him. Our runing game will be better imo. Our defense shoukd be vastly improved as well, and Bowen is the real deal. Just need to get some more out of front 4 defenders.
Anyways, welcome aboard!
