Does anyone know his status? For whatever reason, I've casually been looking for him to play but I never see or hear anything about him. It looks as though he is listed on the 2023 roster.

I could have sworn I saw him suited up on the sideline during the game. Wondered why he didn't get a shot?

I don't know if it is related or not but, I've read that he is still dealing with occasional issues as a result of his ACL injury. Maybe, like Sawchuck, they held him out as a precaution?

I don’t know the answer but I do know that OU’s running back room appears to be pretty crowded. I suspect at least a couple of them will portal out, looking for more playing time elsewhere.

He was suited up. Old news I googled:

From Spring

“Emeka Megwa — the greatest University of Washington football player who never was — has resurfaced at Oklahoma, but he still hasn't resolved all of his health issues.
With the Sooners set to open spring practice on Tuesday, coach Brent Venables told reporters that the former Husky running back is "still getting things cleared up" while dealing with an ACL meniscus tear.”

From Fall:

“In the backfield, running back Emeka Megwa was also classified as limited to start fall camp.”
