The Oklahoma Women Tennis Team won 3 of 4 Singles Matches on Saturday and 3 of 4 Doubles Matches on Saturday. Here are the results that I found.

Singles

Romana Cisovska - WON over Smith of Penn, 2-6, 6-4, 6-1. == In her next match, Cisovska will face Liu (Maryland) at 9:00 AM on Sunday.

Julia Garcia Ruiz - WON over Amendola of Memphis, 6-1, 6-1. == In her next match, Garcia Ruiz will face De Luis Heras (San Diego) at 9:00 AM on Sunday.

Ava Catanzarite - WON over Schoppe of Florida State, 7-5, 6-4. == In her next match, Catanzarite will face Coleman (Duke) at 9:00 AM on Sunday.

I believe all three of the Sooners above will play one more match on sunday if they win.

Emma Staker - DROPPED her match to Zampando of North Carolina St, 1-5, 5-7. == In the Consolation Singles Bracket, Straker will play Jittakoat (Cal St Fullerton) at 3 PM on Sunday.

Doubles

Cisovska-Staker - WON over a Louisiana Tech doubles team, 8-5. == In their next match, Cisovska-Staker DROPPED their match 4-8 to a USC Doubles team. I could not find Cisovska-Straker in the Doubles Consolation Bracket.

Garcia Ruiz-Catanzarite - WON by a Walkover over a Maryland doubles team. == In their next match, Garcia Ruiz-Catanzarite WON 8-7 over a Florida State doubles team. Garcia Ruiz-Catanzarite will play their next match at 1 PM on Sunday against an East Tennessee State double team.

Good luck to the Sooner Women today.

I must admit I forgot about this. I went on a trip on the 5th thru the 9th and this fell off of my radar to follow.

The OU Women's Tennis Team picked up another 'first' for the Sooner Women's Tennis Team as Guzman/Shcherbinina claimed Oklahoma's first ITA All-American doubles title Sunday afternoon at the ITA All-American Championships in Cary, N.C.

Here the final Sooner staff writers article about the ITA for the Sooner Women:

My congratulations to Guzman and Shcherbinina on their Doubles Championship.

Urrutia also did well in the Consolation Singles as she advanced to the Consolidation Semi-Finals.
