Bottom post of the previous page:

Well I watched that game & must comment. You guys know how I feel about muleshoe. I can say sc offense did look much better
yesterday. Play calling was much better. But remember he hired his ole Texas Tec buddy & I think that had a lot to do with that.
I must admit Grinches defense looked horrible. Can they get it ready for The big O I dought that. He has some great talent on the
Running back side, I mean really good. Caleb played maybe his best game Saturday. I would think it is a little to late in the season
In revamping the at this point.

I wanted to add, they might get a “dead cat bounce” meanimg players likely had checked out on Grinch. Now they will focus and could see some immediate improvement but not enough this late in season to matter. Its going to take players and time to make real change imo. So if they do much better this week I would still want to wait and see over time. The replacements are internal not external. Its going to take an outsider to fix.

Agreed - I think we saw what basically changing Grinch trained players over to BV his first year. looked like It is not an immediate fix. I think a lot of the issue is related to the conditioning and the size of players even moreso than Grinch's schemes, etc (although I think I remember reading he has a "go get the ball" scheme or something as pitiful as the like).

So, it will be interesting what magic can be worked in the remaining 2 games @Oregon and vs UCLA. It is also interesting that they have lost 3 of their last 4 and on their win to Cal failed on a 2 pt conversion or they would have taken it to overtime.

Wylie still there? Yep.

We got to see the transition from Smitty to Wylie with more or less the same coashes in place. It s going to be harder for USC fans to 'see' this one.

Former Sooner DB Will Johnson is on the USC staff and Bookie Radley-Hiles is a defensive analyst. I wonder how their roles will change?Brian Odom will be an interim Co-Defensive Coordinator.

Could they be part of a major housecleaning after the season?

Don't they have 5*, future Heisman winner and former OU commit Malachi Nelson waiting in the wings? :D

Riley will use Grinch as a "Get Outa Jail" card for this year's condom fiasco. He's saving Wylie as his "Get Outa Jail" card for the future. I'm sure Capt. Self-Serve will find additional cards to add to his collection.....possibly the likes of those mentioned in SoonerinLA's post.

Wait till Oregon pours gasoline on the USC dumpster fire, then CW sits out the bowl games , it will be a 5 alarm fire that burns down the usc athletic department and that is before the Big 10 schedule …. :D

I work with a teacher who never misses an opportunity to mention that "USC gave me several hundred thousand $ to go there" (educational scholarships), I've been telling him for 2 years this was coming. He has been enraged by both riley and grinch all year; according to him all of LA wants riley gone too.

Odom is the ONLY legitimate defensive coach on that team. I doubt tbow can hire him as DC, so if I were Odom, I would be sending resumes out from Florida to Washington State. He has zero future in SoCal.

Agreed and I suspect Brian Odom is a good coach. Odom's relative (uncle?) Barry Odom is now the Head Coach at UNLV. I wouldn't be surprised if he winds up there.
