YES!Awesome!
Lot of good that does now. Those guys are a piece of work.
I don’t have an answer for you last question but Draft Kings has this summary:inconnu wrote: ↑Sun Nov 12, 2023 3:24 pm Regarding redshirting Arnold:
Isn't the rule now for eligibility for pro(NFL) football, a player must be on a college team for 3 years, in order to go pro? That is, you don't have to play for 3 years, but just be on a team, any team, anywhere. If a player is to redshirt, it still counts as a year of college football, correct? So, even if Arnold redshirts, after 2 more years on OU's team, or any college team, he can declare for the draft, or tryout for the pros the next year.
If what I said is correct, why would a coach want to redshirt anyone?
Yes, we did too, for the same reason. One of the folks in our section suggested we go down to the field and "explain" to the refs what unsportsmanlike conduct really looked like. That was utterly, pathetically obvious and obnoxious crooked officiating all night long.
Well, I think there was only one jet sweep (and it actually worked) and only two or three WR screens (that didn't). I'll guarantee he knew his job was on the line. There was simply no excuse for the play-calling since Dallas other than arrogance, stupidity, laziness or taking the points. He gets no passes for finally doing what he is paid to do. There's no more forgiveness left in me for losing to inferior teams.
I feel EXACTLY the same way.pippen wrote: ↑Sun Nov 12, 2023 4:55 pmWell, I think there was only one jet sweep (and it actually worked) and only two or three WR screens (that didn't). I agree you can't turn the ball over and expect to win most of the time. However I do NOT believe the last three games lack of success on offense was because of player execution. The play calling has been the worst I've seen. Consistently calling routes behind the line of scrimmage and the exact same running play over and over. It's like he "knows" this play will work so he keeps running it over and over again expecting different results. He called a MUCH different game yesterday as compared to those games. I don't believe the players are just suddenly performing better like you apparently do. Putting players in better positions and calling plays utilizing defensive weaknesses are more likely what is occurring.MontOUfan wrote: ↑Sun Nov 12, 2023 5:28 pm These teams are not so "inferior" that you can turn the ball over 6 times and have the number of penalties OU did and expect to be very successful. There is a very thin line between execution and breakdown in football. I agree that Sawchuk is getting back to his true running form, but there were at least two plays (including the 3rd TD to Stoops) that were a whisker from being blown-up because he whiffed on his pass-pro block. I am amused at how Lebby can go from genius to idiot and back to genius because of how players perform.
Lebby is only in his second year of being fully in charge of play calling. I’m not giving him a pass, nor am I calling for his job at this time.soonershok wrote: ↑Sun Nov 12, 2023 5:53 pmI agree you can't turn the ball over and expect to win most of the time.
