I would like to see the exchange between the center to holder on that missed FG. It didn't look as smooth as the extra-point exchange later in the game. I'm not taking up for our kicker, but would like to see if the timing was just off a little.

Ugly or pretty I’ll take an ugly win as much as pretty win we are 9-2 after 6-7. We for sure have a running back in Sawchuk! And D made key plays when needed. JA did great coming in cold. Farooq made a massive catch/run to seal the deal too.

Well I was proud of JA,for this reason. He ran the ball like a bull & held on too
it. The thing that hurt his passing was timing. I think
If he had worked out with the first string his timing would have been spot on. We shall see in the future, but he was thrown out there
at a tuff time. I hope Dillion will be OK, but concussion my hole him out of next weeks game. If so JA will be prepared for it much better than this week.

Love that BV takes blame. But for the love of football fans Brent, please try our other kickers! It s causing heart problems with the fanbase.

Not only going for it, doing it with a true freshman in his first real action under fire

Wow! Makes that play even bigger! With that much pressure and hostile crowd for him to do this is pretty significant to me. The fact he was not afraid to do it knowing if it failed he would be at fault.
Amd I noticed another play that to me seemed like a sweep to wr and it appeared that instead of throwing to the sweep guy he kept ball and ran it. If true thats my man (if he erased a Lebby sweep)

Dillion has been a very good QB to get us through the two seasons for Brent. However, I feel very good about Jackson Arnold. For a freshman that hasn't had a lot of work as the backup QB. At this point, it is kind of sad that Arnold hasn't gotten much in the way of experience. I was really surprised by Arnold about his skills and ability to get put in a tough game and then play as a veteran. It will be interesting to see if Arnold will get the majority of the work this next week. OU's medical folks at OU historically been very conservative with players with concussions and other player injuries. Don't suggest I am not hoping Dillion doesn't get to play against TCU, I just want to see what Arnold can do with a full week of getting all the QB work. I'm just excited that I think we have a very good freshman QB that we can look forward to as the starting QB next year.OU Guy wrote: Sat Nov 18, 2023 3:33 pm Wow! Makes that play even bigger!
