A Quintessential American song you like a lot
Put 'em up, folks. Pick a song that for any reason, in your mind just smacks of "gotta be American", without mention of a place in the lyrics, if there are any. A way oldie that struck me that way is this one:

If I remember right, there were 2 different versions of that song released. Was the Gene Simmons who did that the Simmons guy(or related) who was in the group KISS?OU Chinaman wrote: Mon Dec 11, 2023 4:05 pm ..."The Haunted House" Halloween novelty song by Gene Simmons 1964.

Loved the McGuire Sisters! They were a little before my time, (the youngest one was 9 years older than me), but their harmony was GREAT!
They are all gone now, but their music will last for a long time...

Here's another big selection from that memorable era of music, from Teresa Brewer:BudaSooner wrote: Mon Dec 11, 2023 11:48 pm Loved the McGuire Sisters! They were a little before my time, (the youngest one was 9 years older than me), but their harmony was GREAT!
