Bottom post of the previous page:

If you had told me before the season started that we would finish 10-3 I would have been thrilled to hear it. This team is still being rebuilt. We have a solid foundation, just need to get some missing pieces. We'll be fine.

They are throwing because they can’t run the ball and we can’t cover a bed with a blanket. We’re throwing it 80% of the time with an 11 point lead and nearly 200 yards on the ground. Yet for some reason our OCs fell in love with pass, pass, pass.
Nonsense. New QB, basically an impromptu OL, bad individual mistakes, penalties.

I would rather trade our DB's for theirs.
I’m with Poker on this. But it’s fun to vent.

I think we need to go back to Bob's policy of , if you fumble, you are benched for a while ... Farooq doesn't take care of the ball at all... Give another wr a shot

We gave this game away.
Yeah, their is no sugarcoating it. This was a disastrous debut for Arnold. But it's his first start. Got the spring, fall and a light non-conference schedule to work things out. :ou:

These coaches and players have a TON of work to do to get better. Given the schedule, we could be staring down the barrel of another 6 or 7 loss season next year.

Yep. All the rest is irrelevant. We win going away without those two.

Are our corners super untalented or super poorly coached? They haven’t really been able to cover anybody all season

He'll be fine. His first start was against a very good team, especially on the defensive side. The kid was thrown into a situation where he had to play against that good team with a patchwork OL, average but not great WR room, and 2 healthy RB.

Honestly the bowls don't mean jack anymore in the age of the transfer portal. These days if you aren't in the playoffs I see the bowls as nothing more than extra practices for the team and a chance for some younger guys to get some experience in prep for next season. If we win the game, great. If not, oh well.

The sad thing is that we totally outplayed them outside of the 6 turnovers. We out gained them by 178 yards, which is really hard to do when you keep turning the ball over.

I'm hopeful that with a rebuilt o-line and a full off-season to install his offense and to get JA some additional experience, we'll see a lot of improvements by next year.

Bet the portal lights up tomorrow. Tight ends don't seem to fit here anymore. 80% passing so rbs just block.

I felt all year they should've 1) played JA more .. 2) when he's in there let him throw the ball and run the offense.

The offense you saw tonight will not be the offense next season. Can't change and implement a new scheme between the end of the season and a bowl game.

Not to mention some new players coming in who will supplant some of the guys playing tonight.

Now Littrell 's playing calling makes some sense, knowing we had exactly 2 healthy RB's. Will Barnes ever be back ?

They already have 2 new OL coming in. plus a RB and CB. No doubt if DG plays OU, wins tonight by 3 scores. However JA needed to get started.

I'm afraid it may be the scheme.

There's one WR I would not be unhappy to see enter it.
