Big 12 Women's BB Results and new Standings & Current Net Value

Post by OUBeliever56A »

Here are the results of Saturday's games for the Big 12 Women:

Cincinnati at OU - Sooners 77 Bearcats 64 - OU used a late 3Q and a noticeable Sahara Williams sighting to surge to victory over Cincy. OU moves to 3-0 in conference.

Texas at West Virginia - Longhorns 70 Mountaineers 49 - Texas led 37-25 at the half and then won the 3Q, 17-7 to take a 54-32 led into the 4Q. Texas coasted on the road to their victory despite 24 turnovers in the game. Maybe that was due to the WV press that they play. Both teams stand at 2-1 in conference.

Kansas State at UCF - Wildcats 72 Golden Knights 56 - K-State led 42 to 23 at the half. The Wildcats shot 56% from the field in the game. Sudell led K-State with 22 points. K-State is 3-0 in conference.

Houston at Baylor - Bears 87 Cougars 58 - Baylor led 48-33 and then extended their lead to 74-44 by the end of a 3Q. Five Bears scored more double digits with Blackwell tallying a double-double with 15 pts and 10 rebounds. Baylor looks very good at 3-0 in conference.

Kansas at Texas Tech - Red Raiders 73 Jayhawks 64 - Tech led 32-28 at half, 47-44 after 3Q and then outscored Kansas 26-20 in the 4th quarter. Tech made 11 three's while making 11 free throws in the 4Q to Kansas's 2 free throws. The game was not in Lawrence, obviously. Tech moves to 2-1 while Kansas sinks to 0-3.

Okla State at TCU - Cowgirls 67 Frogs 59 - Oklahoma State lead 39-25 at half before TCU outscored OSU 20-10 in the #Q to trail by only 4. OSU doubled that lead in the 4th quarter to win by 8. TCU shot less than 30% from the field in the game. OSU got 14 and 7 off the bench by Egharevba off the bench. OSU moved to 2-1 in conference with the win on the road.

Iowa State at BYU - Cyclones 80 Cougars 75 - The 20-16 Cyclone led after the 1Q was overturned by BYU 17 to 10 in the 2Q as BYU led at the half 33-30. Iowa State won the 3Q 25-18 to lead 55-51 going into the 4th. A tight 4th quarter was won by I-State 25-24 to win by 5 points. The Cyclones had 5 players score in double digits led by Brown with 24. But Iowa State won the game on free shots 12 - 2. Some things never change for the Cyclones.

The games on Wednesday the 10th are:

UCF at Cincinnati - 5 PM on ESPN+ -> One of the two teams will pick up their first Big 12 conference win.

Baylor at Kansas - 6 PM on ESPN+ -> Kansas should be 0-4 after this game while Baylor sets on top at 4-0.

Oklahoma at Kansas State - 6 PM on ESPNU -> The game on national TV on ESPNU is probably about the 2021 game with Lee scoring 61. Hopefully the Sooners can erase that image from the national mindset. One team will be on top with Baylor at 4-0.

West Virginia at Iowa State - 6:30 PM on ESPN+ -> Either both teams will be 3-1 or I-State will be 4-0 on top of the Big 12 conference.

Texas Tech at Oklahoma State - 6:30 PM on ESPN+ -> Both teams are playing for their 3rd conference win and in the top half of the Big 12.

BYU at Houston - 7 PM on ESPN+ -> One of the teams will win their first Big 12 conference game just like the Cincy UCF game. Who would have thought that before the season started?

TCU at Texas - 7 PM on LHN -> Texas is trying hard to get to the top of the Big 12 standings, they should get one step closer I think. TCU could be a disappointing 2-2 four games into conference play.
