Here are the current Big 12 Men's Basketball Standings and NET Rankings. (I will add the AP and the Coaches Rnakings when the new one are published.

T-1st - Texas Tech .............. 4-1 ...... 15-3 ........ NET #35 -> AP #20 -> C #21
T-1st - Kansas State ........... 4-1 ...... 14-3 ........ NET #71 -> AP RV28 -> C RV29
T-3rd - Houston ................. 3-2 ..... 16-2 ........ NET #1 ---> AP #4 ---> C #4
T-3rd - Kansas .................... 3-2 ..... 15-3 ........ NET #14 -> AP #7 ---> C #8
T-3rd - Oklahoma .............. 3-2 ..... 15-3 ........ NET #23 --> AP #11 --> C #13
T-3rd - Baylor ...................... 3-2 ..... 14-4 ........ NET #16 --> AP #15 --> C #14
T-3rd - Iowa State .............. 3-2 ..... 14-4 ........ NET #10 --> AP #23 --> C #18
T-8th - BYU .......................... 2-3 ..... 14-4 ........ NET #5 ---> AP #21 ---> C #19
T-8th - Cincinnati ................ 2-3 ..... 13-5 ........ NET #36
T-8th - Texas ........................ 2-3 ..... 13-5 ........ NET #59 --> AP RV34 -> C RV27
T-8th - TCU .......................... 2-3 ...... 13-5 ........ NET #37 --> AP RV30 - > C RV36
T-8th - UCF .......................... 2-3 ...... 11-6 ......... NET #67
T-8th - West Virginia ............. 2-3 ...... 7-11 .......... NET #153
14th - Oklahoma State ........... 0-5 ...... 8-10 ........ NET #139

In Mid-Week Games the schedule for the Big 12 is as shown below:

Monday - Jan 22nd:
Cincinnati at Kansas - 9 PM CST - ESPN - The Bearcats may be able to really push the frontline of Kansas even in Lawrence. Cincy is very physical on defense, I wonder how the referees will handle that for a Kansas home game. Go Bearcats! Maybe the Bearcats can win this one.

Tuesday - Jan 23rd:
West Virginia at UCF - 6 PM CST - ESPN+ - UCF is supposed to be the better team and they are playing at home. That should mean that the Golden Knights will win this one. But the Mountaineers is playing above their heads right now. I would not be surprised to see WV win this one. Toss-Up game.
Texas at Oklahoma - 6 PM CST - ESPN - My head tells me that Oklahoma will win this. My heart feels that way also. When I look at the stats and size of Texas, I am more convinced that OU will win. Wear your white on Tuesday night and arrive early. Boomer Sooner!
TCU at Oklahoma State - 8 PM CST - ESPN2 - The Horned Frogs have lost two straight to Cincy and I-State. I think they will win in Stillwater on Wednesday night to get back on track.
Houston at BYU - 8 PM CST - ESPN+ - BYU played very well in the first half on Saturday in Lubbock before Tech came back and got the win over BYU. I think Houston has learned how tough the Big 12 is on the road. I expect them to be ready and will pick up a win on the road.

Wednesday - Jan 24th:
Kansas State at Iowa State - 8 PM CST - ESPN2 - Kansas State is 4-1 as they have only played Tech and Baylor (splitting the two games) that are at the top of the Big 12. Iowa State has had a challenging schedule to open the conference season. I think the Cyclones drops the Wildcats out of the top spot in the Big 12 at home in Ames.

Texas Tech and Baylor do not play during the mid-week this week.

Monday - Jan 22nd: This is how I previewed the game on Monday morning.

Kansas 74 - Cincinnati 69

I watched the last half of this game last night. It was tied at halftime 35-35. In the second half Furphy (freshman for Kansas) really played an shot well as the 5th starter for Kansas. He was probably the difference in the game and the ability of McCullar JR for Kansas to get to the foul line (8 of 12). Cincy shot very poorly the first 2/3rd of the second half and had to battle back in the end and just could not stop Kansas from scoring down the stretch.

Dickinson (big center for Kansas that transferred there from Michigan), was in foul trouble as he picked up his 3rd foul early in the 2nd half and then his 4th with about 8 minutes left. Dickinson only scored 10 points.

UCF 72 - West Virginia 59 - UCF outscored WV by 13 in the first half and that lead held up during the second half at home for UCF. UCF is now 3-3, West Virginia drops to 2-4.

(I got this one very wrong, at least last night.)

Texas 75 - Oklahoma 60 - Texas used 50% shooting and 16 more rebounds to defeat OU on the road. Texas might have played their best game this year. Texas is now 3-3 while Oklahoma joins the group of teams at 3-3 also.

TCU at Oklahoma State - 8 PM CST - ESPN2 - The Horned Frogs have lost two straight to Cincy and I-State. I think they will win in Stillwater on Wednesday night to get back on track.

TCU 74 - Oklahoma State 69 - OSU led TCU by four at halftime 37-33 on their home court. TCU tied the score at 61-61 at the 7:32 mark of the 2nd half. TCU outscored OSU 13-8 over the last seven and half minutes to win by 5 point. TCU is now 3-3 while OSU drops to 0-6 in the conference.

Houston 75 - BYU 68 - Houston led 41 to 38 at the half. BYU battled back and the score was tied at 68 with 2:15 left to play. Houston scored the last 7 points to win the game. Houston moves to 4-2 while BYU drops to 2-4.

Iowa State 78 - Kansas State 67 - The Cyclones led 41 -29 after the first half. But the Wildcats battled back to tie the score at 61-61 just inside of 5 minutes left to play. Free throws kept Iowa State in the lead however down the stretch. I-State made 27 of 39 free throws compared to 15 for 23 for K-State. The loss drops K-State to 4-2 in the Big 12 while I-State improves to 4-2.
