I'll be honest after the bedlam Big 12 champ game in 22 that May lost I have not had faith that May can lock down an opponent (it was a walk that allowed OSU to score and win the game). I'm thinking Maxwell is going to have to be our Ace unless one of the others steps up.
Hoping May will prove me wrong, but I just haven't ever felt great confidence in her.

The announcer just said something that resonated with me: "Sometimes losing is the best teacher". I always want our girls to win, but a loss might be a good thing, and a loss to 5th-ranked Washington would not be all that bad, and would have the additional benefit of taking the pressure of THE STREAK off of the team's back.

Agree, I'm not sure this team is going this season unscathed. Torres just robbed of a home run! We had 2 on and 2 out and we leave the top of the 3rd with no runs and Washington leading 3-2 going to the bottom of the 3rd.

Interested to see what we do with May. Will she come back out - or will we try another pitcher? I'm sure Washington will probably replace Lopez with Meylin for the top of the 4th.

Not saying it is going to happen. But how many of our last losses were 3-2? I know Baylor was, Texas in 22, OSU in the 22 Big12 CC game. Seems like that is our bad spot when we lose - it is always 3-2. Interesting and hoping we can get some runs in the 5th.

Washington has 2 runners on in the bottom of the 4th and I think 1 out. Thought we were gonna have a pitching change but not yet.

We had a few uncharacteristically bad defensive plays to lead to Washington's lead. Seems like the girls are not super crisp. Part of me really wants to win and part of me thinks it may be good to lose at this point in the season to reset.

I love Tiare but I think there is no one that can replace Grace at SS. Glad to see Nicole get that last strikeout. Would love to see the girls put some good hits together in the top of the 5th. But still okay if we don't pull this one out. Let's see what kind of drive to win they have.
