The Sooners come into the game in need of a bounce back after dropping two games games on Saturday in a long DH'er day. The two losses dropped the Sooners record down to 7-2 and their overall record to 14-9. The Sooners are 9-4 in their last 13 games. Oral Roberts comes into the game on a 5-8 streak in their last 13 games and 9-15 overall.

The Sooners and the Golden Eagles have somewhat similar offensive numbers. Oklahoma does hold about a 20 point advantage in the BA and the OB% over ORU. The Sooners Slugging% is 60 points higher though due to more triples and HRs. OU holds an advantage in the fielding thought with 17 errors to the 29 for ORU for a 24 point advantage in Fielding%.

On the mound, Oklahoma's Team ERA is almost 2 runs better with a 5.11 compared to 7.09 for ORU. Oklahoma looks to be better across the board as a team in the pitching department. No starting pitcher for ORU has better than a 5.19 ERA. OU has five pitchers with starts lower than 5.03. ORU does have a trio of relievers at 1.93, 3.38 and 3.86 for ERAs with 33 innings between them. Oklahoma will have to be ready for them in the late innings. Oklahoma usually pitches by committee in mid-week games, so the Sooner relievers and spot starters will be on the hot seat to perform well.

Oklahoma has probably 4 of the best 7 hitters in the game with Carmichael, Snyder, Madron and Nicklaus against Booker, Breeze and Rodriguez for ORU.

Good luck to the Sooner Baseball team on Tuesday.
