Transfer rumor RUMOR NO MORE!
I usually don’t share rumors I see on other boards - one of the best things about this board is the lack of drama for drama’s sake.
But… here I am - supposedly this young lady was in Norman for the spring game and loved her visit. Some of the mods (on that board) have weighed in and confirmed enough to make me think that she did, in fact, visit. She is also considering UConn, so odds seem long. 6’4” that can score and rebound. But this could be just what the doctor ordered for Jennie and her band of returnees. Hope springs eternal.

I have seen this rumor as well. The player is Raegan Beers. Here is her profile page from Oregon State.

Her transfer to Oklahoma might be linked to an assistant coach change for OU as well as the assistant coach from OSU is rumored to be coming to OU as well.
It might be a wonderful two-fer for Oklahoma.
Imagine a 6'4" scorer inside for Coach Baranczyk.

She had a choice between OU and UConn and chose OU!
Welcome to the family, Raegan!

What a huge (no pun intended) pick up! Exactly what the doctor ordered. An inside player the Sooners haven’t had for quite some time. Outstanding!
I may not always be right, but I'm never wrong!

Ms. Beers is a huge get from what I understand for the Sooners. To have a true presence that will occupy a big defensive player or offensive player on both ends of the floor is really a huge addition. Great job by Coach Baranczyk and the program to be able to recruit her and actually get the committment.
The depth chart for OU looks really good for 2024 and 2025. Maybe the depth chart looks like this:
New players for 2024 -25 are underlined. Bold players were starters in 2023-24.
Point Guard: Tot, Reyna Scott, (Keyes)
Shooting Guard: Keyes, Joens, Zya Vann
Wing Guard/Forward: Verhulst, Caya Smith, (Williams)
Power Forward: Skylar Vann, Williams, Johnson, Allen
Center: Beers, Liz Scott (returning from injury), Culliton

I see 6 sure starters for next year, out of OUBeliever56A's great post. Tot for leadership, Keyes for great defense and 3 point shooting, Verhulst for all around ability, Williams for physicality and rebounding, Vann for being MVP of team, and Beers for inside size, scoring and rebounding. Coach B is going to have a hard time working out either permanent starters, or match up depending on who we play and their strengths. Performance with our fast pace style will be enhanced by our depth. I thought we sometimes lost offensive consistency when we substituted last year . Should be a hard choice for Coach, and hopefully younger players development will make it even harder to pick starters and first subs.
Maybe we can avoid BAD losses like Southern, and get a high seed. Should be fun with our new conference opponents.
