I don't really care what Canady does. Apparently there are other teams out there that will pay more. Time will tell if she is all about the money.
Canady also only has 2 years. I think that we make it to the WCWS with or without Canady this year. Next year we will have 3 highly recruited freshmen pitchers; at least one of them will have a break out season.
. I would imagine one team would be Texas, and if there is a second one it could be be 2 or 3 other schools. We have to hope the the other things that OU has to offer will outweigh the monetary edge that they might have

Tyler McComas commented on Kenzie Hansen being on the same team as NiJaree Canady would a great opportunity to help sway Canady if she hasn’t yet reached her decision especially since Hansen will be a GA for the Sooners next season.
So is Kelly Maxwell......and Jocelyn Alo too.
But, alas.....so is Jocelyn Erickson.....
Tyler did mention these other names. He hopes that Kelly will let Canady know how the OU staff helped her with all the negative publicity but in the end it was the right decision for her and worked out in a great way
with Tx Tech it would have to be all about money. They are 500 miles from her home so not that close to home and even with Canady they will not even close to a natty. Other than a boat load of money she will be no better shape team wise as Stanford. She will pitching over 75 percent of the time

Hearing Texas Tech is opening their check book and putting in a very high bid for Canady
WTF would make her want to go to Lubbock ?
$$$$$$$$
Since when does Texas Tech care that much about softball? It's a mediocre program which went 29-21 this past season. It's just hard to see some oil bumpkin Tech booster doling out big money for a sport other than football. Maybe she will visit Lubbock and eliminate Tech immediately.
Tech used NIL support to lure Glasco from Louisiana, and it appears they are putting together a NIL package close to 7 figures for NiJa. Maybe they see an opening in the new Big12 and want to become a softball power.

I just don’t see any way that Canady would choose Tech. She would be used just as much, if not more than she was at Stanford. Plus TTU doesn’t allow her to be in the spotlight, which equals more money via NIL. Lubbock doesn’t sound like anywhere a star player would choose…unless it was 8 figures lol
I would think a college female softball player would gladly commit to go ANYWHERE for an offer of $500K. Yes, even Lubbock or Winnipeg or Yellowknife, etc. (especially if it's up front money)
Going to TT which HOPES a new coach can build a winner in the span of your 2 seasons of eligibility ? Talk about a long shot . In addition it is not close to home and is in FREAKING Lubbock ! She left a beautiful place like Palo Alto for money and a chance to win an NC . TT ain't it .
I read somewhere that Cannady is a lock to be a Gator and that makes more sense than being a Tortilla Tosser .

I hate what the NIL has done to college sports. Rant over.
The reason NIL got out of control is because the NCAA refuses to police it. After the NCAA got sued they threw their hands up and said you all do what you want to. What goes on now got SMU the death penalty, Now it’s all perfectly legal. And what’s not legal probably goes unchecked.
