I would think you would have to separate them into offense & Defensive. Even in doing that I myself would have take some time in
Giving that some thought. We are covering a lot of ground.

Almost feels disrespectful to limit this list to 25, but I cannot argue against it.

Thanks for this Wishbone. Not possible to list all the great players OU has had, and to pick top anything and everyone agree equally not possible. But all mentioned in this top 25 certainly were great players. I have been to almost every home and OU-Texas game since 1969, but am just an average fan as far as special knowledge, but I also think Lee Roy Selmon was best of all players i saw play

Another one I thought with great potential was Waymon Clark. Incredible power, very good speed, very bad citizen. Loved watching him carry the football.

...can't really say I'd change anything.
You can argue the rankings, the numerical places on the list, but for the most part think they got the 10 best list dead solid right.
Think you could probably add 4 or 5 names to the Honorable Mention list.

Also think the current stable of rb's (especially Sawchuck) might have a chance to become part of that list.

When you getup to the top 3, it is hard to decide which was better.

Personally, I would put Joe Washington at #1. His cross-field dash and following 2-pt play won the Missouri game and 1975 National Championship after the team lost the prior week at home against Kansas.

I definitely enjoyed watching that video. We have been blessed to watch so many amazing running backs at OU over the course of our lives. I think we probably really need to a top 15 or 20.

My favorite backs (Little Joe and Greg Pruitt) made the list. You never knew which direction those guys were going to go next.
