Looks to me like every time he gets a carry there’s at least one if not more defenders unblocked or partially blocked before he can get going.OU Chinaman wrote: ↑Sat Sep 07, 2024 8:06 pm ...Houston O-Line looks like a different unit than I saw Last week.
SOONER D looks stalwart again.
Sawchuck has 3 carries for 2 yds??? Is he nicked up?

This first half performance by the offense has been…unimpressive.

Offense and defense have been equally unimpressive. Houston has outgained us.
They get the ball to start the 2nd half. We better turn it up a few notches!

Pitiful. We were getting upset with the forecasts saying we'd have 5-6 losses this year. Unless there is dramatic improvement the next two weeks, Tennessee, Texas, Alabama, Mississippi, and LSU at least are losses. Arnold looks lost. Our OL can't run block or pass protect. Ugh.
Offense has been terrible tonight……JA is 15 yards off on the long throws….
Slant to Burks and Thompsonis working, and straight to TE is works. The long passes are waaaay off.
Will have to put in Tatum at RB to open up things….

I sure hope that our offensive coordinator is holding something back during these first couple of nonconference games. Otherwise it is going to be a long season.

...starkly evident why we're dead last, worst in the country, on 3rd down conversions
Coach B has his work cut out for him with this group of big uglies.
Much like the 1st half las week vs. Temple, no run game.
Arnold's made Gabriel look good on deep throws this evening.
Don't honestly believe houston has the horses to beat OU, expect superior depth to wear them down by the 4th.
But, having said that, it's still a 2 score game.

Maybe next year! We have a very good defense, not playing so far but good. Our offense still can,t run the ball. We got our first
score by that give me kick of there return man that set in scoring range. There offensive has more yardage then us. Unless we step it up a notch, this may be a long season? We have not even played a good team yet. Sorry just the way it is, so far.

I think the only thing Seth is holding back are calls that require a serviceable O line. Right now they are putrid on run blocking and so-so on passing. Through in dropped passes and perhaps some missed reads and/or JA having happy feet and you have an offense that is stuttering to say the least.
