SOONERS have an excellent Defense! Convinced of this. Only criticism of it, is I saw several plays that the Call from the sidelines was late and the players are still looking to the sidelines when Houston snapped the football. The Cougars QB sneak for a first down comes to mind. Caught OU still moving into position. Believe that can be fixed.
Offensively, I'm really worried! The O-Line is a big problem to say the least. I saw several "whiffs" on blocks, and an inability to maintain blocks the whole game long.
JA is developing "happy feet" as they say, and I don't blame him. He's hurried on every snap. Doesn't have enough time to go through his progressions. But, there were also a couple of times Arnold missed badly on some deep throws.
A couple of drops didn't help.
The run game is my biggest concern. The backs are getting hit in the backfield or at the line almost every play. These are stud hoss RB's, but aren't getting a chance to get out of the corral.
AND, beginning to think my ol' buddy Fly may have been right all along about the hire of Seth Littrel. But, think calling for his head at this point a bit premature. Want to see more before I pronounce judgement.
Guarantee Tulane is coming to Norman believing they'll knock off the SOONERS. Why wouldn't they?
But, OU's 2-0. ALL is not yet lost. At this point, I'll keep the faith! BOOMER SOONER!
