OU vs Texas - Pick the Score Contest

Post by gcruse7 »

OU has had a week off to hopefully get some healthy bodies back on the field as well as iron out some deficiencies in their offensive performance. It would also be nice to have the best 5 OL to get a chance to work together. Plus with a true freshman QB, every bit of additional practice is welcome. He is no Allen Iverson, LOL!

Here at SoonerTimes, the week off gave SoonerLynx the opportunity to bask in his Pick the Score win for the Auburn game. Now it's time to defend your title. Here are the year to date winners.

Game 1 winner: waddy's ghost 52-3. Actual score 51-3
Game 2 winner: SoonerTony, 38-9. Actual score 16-12
Game 3 winner: K2C Sooner 34-17. Actual score 34-19
Game 4 winner: None. Actual score 15-25
Game 5 winner: SoonerLynx 28-20. Actual score 27-21

Game 6 needs no build up from me. Regardless of which conference we belong to, our biggest rival will be those wearing the putrid burnt orange from 3 hours south of the Cotton Bowl. As if we needed any other reason to get up for this game, this year the horns come in at #1. The last time that occurred was 1984, when the horns were gifted a 15-15 tie. The one saving grace that we have this year is that if Woody Washington or Dez Malone intercept the ball 3 FEET! inside the side boundary we have instant replay to overturn the corrupt UT officials trying to call them out of bounds. If only Keith Stanberry had instant replay!

The Sooners are big underdogs, but in this game that doesn't mean much. I think the Sooners have the best defense, a solid kicking game, and QB Michael Hawkins continues to show improvement. He takes that to the next level, leading the Sooners to victory.

texsa gets FGs early thinking they will get several TDs later.... They get ONE.

The Sooners run a little bit, pass a little bit, special teams a little bit and break two BIG TD plays.

OU 27 and texsa 16.
texsa sucks!

If I were to choose :horns: , I'd say something like 33 - 26.

I predict :ou: for the win. Score: 37 - 28.
