Hart breaking loss.but we made to many mistakes. We had a lot of young players out there which hurt us very bad.
So we look to the future for there is not much to base this lost as to what to exspect next year.

If Wr and RB catch ball instead of batting it away it is entirely different

Zion Kearney with drops
What’s his name with drops
Robert’s caught
Carrion caught
I had the feeling the coaches didn’t care if we won or lost

I said in another post, I think Venables was treating the game a bit like a scrimmage to push some players and see what they could do. I don't like losing and a couple of his decisions were questionable. SEC play next year will be the determining factor. Hopefully by then the offense is booming
Come on you guys. Do you realize how many of our best players were missing. Portal, killed our defense as our offense. We had no
main running back or best receivers most of this year, as lack of good coaching on the offensive side. That all going to change next
year. I feel the same as you do, but we made a game of it even with what we had on the field.Arbuckle going to turn this offense
around. Our OL did look much better though. The sky in not falling.

Exactly! Sadly, The Spoiled Brat Brigade is incapable of realizing that.Fly wrote: Fri Dec 27, 2024 3:47 pm Come on you guys. Do you realize how many of our best players were missing. Portal, killed our defense as our offense. We had no

...the Hawk did look good today...actually damn good for a true freshman.
Maybe good enough to see some playing time in 2025, even with Mateer.

He had a few plays where he looked good. Most of the time he was late on throwing the football. Probably wouldn't have mattered if he was on time. We cannot catch worth a damn. The Navy fans behind us were commenting on why OU was 6-6...."they can't catch".
We got to a bowl. We got the extra practice. Yay.
Anyone seeing bright spots for the future during the game today is delusional. Abysmal performance. Just looking at the two teams from a physical perspective......OU should have dominated. OU easily averaged 50 lbs per man across the LOS on both sides....especially the OL. This is just a bad football team. Put all the makeup you want on it. Will not change it.
Hopefully, things will get better next year. I hope so. Team 130 finished as a whipped, dejected, demoralized unit.

He is way to indecisive in the passing game he may improve with taking a redshirt next year

...he's a true freshman who threw for 247 yds, 2 TD's and no picks.
His WR's and RB's combined to drop 7 "should have been completions!"
His lost fumble was the one big minus in his performance, IMO.
Obviously, he still needs to be coached up, but I think Mateer will be "one & done" for OU and I'm not averse to seeing the Hawk as the OKLAHOMA starting QB after Mateer.
In fact, I think he'll push Mateer in the Spring.
He wants to be here. He wants to play QB for the SOONERS and believes he can.
I do too!
