My wife and I watched the 1st episode of '1883' last night. I am impressed with the depth that this and 'Yellowstone' put into their characters. I hope they can keep up the story quality as 'Yellowstone' has.
I don't understand the streaming of this show. It is televised right after Yellowstone on the regular Paramount station. I guess, if I paid for streaming, it would let me see the episodes a week early. I am too cheap and therefore can wait a week.

Streaming can work in 2 ways and I’m not sure which way they go:
1. Streaming can let you watch series before its on cable. Which means they still put on cable but delayed by days or weeks.
2. They play first few shows on cable to get you hooked then stop showing on cable to get you to subscribe to streaming. I hope its not this as I won’t be blackmailed to subscribe no matter what.

I just finished binge watching the 1st season (10 episodes). I thought it is a well done and written story, and from what I've read, pretty an accurate look at life in the West at that time in our Country's history. There were a few inconsistencies, but I won't let them get in the way of good entertainment.
