This really hurts as they get auto invite by winning conf now. Looks like NIT

I still think Sooners have a shot at MM.....

As far as the system it should be the best 64 teams in March 13, don’t need auto invites

This current bracketology has the Sooners with a 98% chance of being in MM

Absolutely, positively, 100% agree!!! There should be no auto bids for the tourney champs. It allows too many non-worthy teams in and leaves out others who are better.

We deserved to be in but those 2 early season losses to US and Butler cost us.

Knowing our commish he probably paid them to leave us out. We host a home NIT game so can make money on that. Go win the NIT!

As with any team sitting that close on the bubble, the Sooners can look back and say "what if"! Just win one of the KU games (both VERY winnable), or the Tech game in the Big 12 tourney, or quite frankly any of the 3 OT games they lost and they're probably in. But they didn't, so they suffer the consequences of being oh so close. But fortunately, it looks like there's something to build on here. Winning 4 of 5 down the stretch with one of those against Baylor, and the loss being a one-pt setback to Tech where OU had a chance to win inside the last 5 secs definitely makes you feel like better times are ahead. It stinks to be left out but hopefully that'll just serve as fuel for next season to hit their stride a little bit earilier.

NIT will be extra practices too. And start at home.

OU were a combined 12 points from potentially having a 24-9 record

Well, the B12's performance in the NCAA 1st round sure makes it look like the Sooners should have gotten in. The conference was 6-0, with all 6 teams winning against the spread as well. The Sooner's 2 conference tournament opponents, Baylor (whom they beat) and Tech (to whom they lost by 1 pt), won their opening NCAA tourney games by 36 and 35 points. Additionally KU and TCU each won by 27. The closest game by a B12 school was 11 seed ISU upsetting 6 seed LSU by "only" 5 points.

So Big12 got 8 teams in both MM and NIT and after 1 round are 8-0.

OU got robbed.

I think Oklahoma is the only Big XII team in the NIT, so it is only 7-0.

Currently, Baylor is having their heads handed to them by North Carolina.
