He would only be our 14th commit. This class just get's better and better. It's exciting to think that we still have 6 months until Early Signing Period.
Now to work on seeing which of these kids will be able to come in early for the spring workouts next year.

Four-star edge Adepoju Adebawore of Kansas City (MO) North Kansas City High announced his commitment to Oklahoma Sunday afternoon.
.The 6-foot-4, 230 pounder chose the Sooners over Northwestern, Missouri, Georgia, and LSU.
Oklahoma checked every box for Adepoju Adebawore
“The different conversations and experiences I had with them, also I just felt like a great fit for me and they checked all of the boxes,” Adebawore said. “Love the accounting stash and the fact that they are very genuine and real and they’re gonna keep it 100 with you always.the spiritual and relational aspect of it also stood out to me.”
Strong relationship with coach Chavis
I am closest with my position coach, coach Miguel’s Chavis,” Adebawore said. “He’s just an energy filled guy, caring, funny, and spiritual. You know me and him connect very well and he just fits everything I’m looking for in a coach.”
The top player in Missouri joins the Sooners’ top 15 class in the 2023 team rankings alongside Jackson Arnold, Cayden Green, and others.
Adepoju Adebawore Scouting Summary
“Twitchy, athletic pass rusher with a very high ceiling,” On3’s Director of Scouting Charles Power wrote. “One of the more athletic and physically-gifted EDGE prospects in the 2023 cycle. Checked in at 6-foot-4, 227 pounds prior to his senior season. Has elite length for the position with a 7-foot wing-span. Tests as a top athlete in the combine setting, sporting some of the best athletic testing numbers among top EDGE prospects. His workout at Under Armour’s Kansas City camp was arguably the best camp showing we saw from any 2023 prospect during the spring. Transfers that athleticism over to the field, where he makes high-level plays behind the line of scrimmage with regularity. Uses his burst to beat opposing offensive tackles off the ball, while also showing the ability to dip and bend around the edge.”
“Consistently runs down quarterbacks and rushers behind the line of scrimmage. A high-level finisher due in part to his elite length and twitch. Operates with a high effort level both in games and the camp setting. Very productive as a junior with 17.5 sacks. Will need to continue developing his hand usage in getting off of blocks along with pass rush moves. Younger for the class and still relatively new to football. Has the look of an ascending prospect and one of the higher ceilings in the 2023 cycle.”
Adebawore ranks as the No. 20 player in the On300. He also tabs in as the No. 4 edge and the top player in the state of Missouri.
