Ok State sweeps Texas*

I saw that the Cowgirls swept of UT* this afternoon, Meaning, that unless we screw-up at Kansas, both teams will have one loss going into Bedlam. The winner of 2 of the 3 games will be Big XII champion. At least the games are in Norman.

Ok State will play a 3-game series at Florida State this weekend. It is going to be hard, but I'll be rooting for the Cowgirls in this series. I think the Thursday game will be on ESPN.

Illish is not playing tonight. Michelle smith reported Kenny said “we feared major damage, but an MRI revealed no damage. She is resting and hoping to play again this year, but no timetable given. She wanted to hit tonight, but is not in the lineup.

Gotta feel badly (a little) for Kelly Maxwell tonight.....she threw 8.1 innings, 140 pitches, 103 strikes, 12 Ks, only 2 walks, and loses...2-1.

OSU got beat by FSU again on Friday 2-1. Day pitched well except for two pitches. Looks like OSU may need Elish to hit more than to pitch. She did hit as the DP on Friday. I did not hear an update on her right arm by the ESPN crew.

OSU's offense is no where near what I thought it would be this year. If not for the two freshman, Evans and Carwile, there would not be an awful lot to cheer about.
