In a first, the Sooner Women's Tennis Team will host a NCAA Regional this weekend. The Sooners (27-2) will face Bryant (12-7) in their first match today at 3 PM. Arizona State and San Diego are also in the Norman Regional this weekend. They play at Noon today. The two winners will face off against each other on Saturday.

Here is the staff writers article about the Regional.

The Sooner Women's #2-ranked Tennis Team wins Regionals 4-3 over #17 Arizona State on Saturday.

After a surprise in the double with the Sun Devils won two matches for the doubles point, the Sooners Women rebounded to win the #1, #2, #3 and #6 singles matches for the close win over Arizona State. Ivana Corly's (#3 singles) second set tie-breaker win in the #3 singles was a huge key for the Sooners.

The Women's Tennis Team now advances to the Super Regionals and will host #15 Stanford at their home facility Headington Family Tennis Center next weekend. Match times are TBA.

I hope their schedule will not conflict with the Sooner Softballers schedule up in OKC. I would enjoy going to watch the women play against Stanford.
