Thu Game Time/Channel
It starts at 6:30 and is on Espin2
Tin foil hat time:
Softball has been gaining viewers year after year. Would the people behind the TV scenes call for a TX win tonight to set an extra viewing night in Fri. Imagine the extra money to be made plus the extra exposure to softball.
I am joking but wanted to throw out that TV would love for tx to win tonight to increase profits. OU players will have none of it and will show the world why they are labled as best ever. We will have another small strike zone when pitching tho, last nights ump tried to even the playong field on his own. Hope its someone different tonight.

That's my only concern too - strike zone from Ump. I think they really are impartial and generally do a great job, but it will have to be tempting to level the playing a field a bit by calling the zone super tight for Jordy potentially while allowing Czech a little more wiggle room.

Welp, the umpires are human. That said, I believe that in the overwhelming number of times, they do attempt to be impartial and to call the game honestly. Could tonight's game be tilted by an umpire who has a bias? I suppose so, but I hope not...SoonerGirl1201 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 09, 2022 2:17 pm That's my only concern too - strike zone from Ump. Not only do I hope OU beats Texas but also the NHL on ESPN. Unlikely because ESPN has greater reach than ESPN2.

I don't know this for a fact, but I suspect it's true in regards to the TV audience. Let's face it, Alo is an absolute rock star to A LOT of young softball players. She's their idol and role model. They all want to play like her, and they're tuning in to see her, and by association, see OU. So they'll stick around even if it's a blowout.
I may not always be right, but I'm never wrong!
