VOLLEYBALL SIGNS TOP-10 CLASS FOR 2022

I did a little more digging this morning on OU Volleyball commits for the 2022 season and found this. I have not seen anything official about these players from OU Volleyball but it appears that OU has four commits and at least 1 signee.

I think that Sydney Thompson from BT Washington HS in Tulsa. She is listed as a L, DS and is 5'9". A video of her playing is provided above in earlier posts.

The OU Volleyball recruits (2 hitters and 2 L, DS) look to be on the right track to possibly fill what is going to be leaving the program after this season or add depth to the team.

Those players leaving the program will be; Paige Anderson MB, Savannah Davison OH and Sarah Sanders OH. All of these are 5th year players. Anderson and Davison are primary players this season for the Sooners and their absence will be prioritized to replace from the Sonner non-starters or new recruits.

Two players that are eligible to return for their 5th years are Sabrina Simms OH and Aysia Harty DS. Harty is also a primary player for the Sooners this season. I would think that if Harty or Simms would like to return for their fifth season that whey would be welcomed back.

If anyone has additional information about the 3 Sooner VB commits or other recruiting news....please add that info.

So it looks like there were 5 signees. SoonerSports had a writeup for new signees for each sport but they have not done one for volleyball yet.

That article makes it sound like she definitely signed with OU. I did not see the OU Tweet about Sydney signing. Hopefully OU will post wrapup article soon on who signed for volleyball
