According to my wife, the games were rained out last night right after the opening ceremonies ended.

I kinda wish Guthrie, and even McAdoo, would have done this too--might be helpful for them as well?OUBeliever56A wrote: ↑Thu Jun 16, 2022 1:26 pmThe FGCL is for young players that have not played and not started too much in their career. There is also a Kansas League that I saw was going to play in 2022. I have not seen rosters for that yet.TropicalSooner wrote: ↑Thu Jun 16, 2022 1:19 pm Thank you for posting this.
Do any of the other players play summer ball? or is it only the freshmen class?
On the comment above about Storako playing for the Squeeze in the FGCL, I think that is a typo or there is more than one Alex Storako that plays softball. I see that name on the roster but surely that is not right.

Don't know for sure but maybe this helps.......OUBeliever56A wrote: ↑Thu Jun 16, 2022 2:01 pmThen I a totally wrong. But I am surprised.oufanforever wrote: ↑Thu Jun 16, 2022 1:51 pm Checked with Gray Robertson who calls the games, it is the real Alex Storako and she will be pitching.
I drilled down through the FGCL twitter site, which lead to the Manatee Squeeze site, looking for info about our Sooners playing this summer and found this:
Looks like Storako signed up for this summer back in February.....maybe she was wanting to do something just to stay sharp through the summer??

You're welcome!
I was thinking about this and maybe you know the answer.....would the FGCL people maybe reach out to some ace D1 pitchers, i.e. Storako this year, Saile last year, to come to their summer camps so the youngsters can learn to hit agaiinst top level college pitching?
