I read where we are still hot on his trail and he has visited OU 3 times since committing to ND. Thought I’d create a thread in case of a flip later on. His girlfriend is going to play for OU Soccer (not sure if already or future). His best friend is our 23 qb 5* commit Jackson Arnold.

If this guy ends up signing with ND (who he is commited to and where his parents want him), with all his comments and visits since his comments about different schools and his "fit" there, since his commitment I will consider him to be the biggest tease/troll of all time. He currently has at least 2 schools thinking decommit and sign with them in addition to ND.

I still hope he will choose OU in the end (after all, girlfriends are undefeated - ask Billy Bowman), but there's always a first time for an upset.

This and a few other Tweets have really got the Golden Domers in an all out melt down. Of course PB helped fuel those things any when he "liked" the posts.

Still all that and $10 will buy you a large coffee at Starbucks.

They’ve been talking about Bowen flipping for several months. I will believe it when I see it actually happen.

This is behind a paywall

——

But I love the comments in the tweet thread (listing in order):

——

Make a “final decision”?? If he committed to ND shouldn’t that have been the final decision ? 🤦🏻‍♂️

—-

Yeah, I don’t get it.

——

The whole thing has become a scam in college football. Everybody involved is trying to take advantage of the other.

—-

Day 1 starter at ND, a place that puts safeties into the NFL. Seems like a no brainier.

——

NIL

——

Ask Kyle Hamilton about NIL at Notre Dame, he made a lot of money.

——

Final decision? I thought he was committed?

——

Guys it’s click bate relax!

I wish they would find a different word than “committed” to describe what recruits do, when they decide on a college.

“I am committed to you honey. But I’m also going to date these other girls, and I will let you know my final decision in a couple of weeks”.

Something tells me that would not fly.

Brent has it right, most of the recruits use “commitment” as a placeholder or reservation while they flirt with others to see if they can get a better deal. He targets recruits that have character and their word counts for something. That’s why we have only had a couple of de-commits this year.

I know PB’s GF has signed to play soccer for OU so that gives us an advantage over everyone else in that respect, but in the end, he like all the others have to look at what program will take his abilities and skills and refine and improve them to best help him play on Sundays.

I think he will be a December 21 flip, but waiting to see that signed LOI before I believe it fully.

I don,t like this cat & Mouse game any more than any of you. But this is these kids moment in the spot light. It is what it is.
Good luck to him no matter where he decides.
