Sooner Women's Volleyball- Tough, Important Week for the Sooners!

The Oklahoma Sooners young and talented volleyball team faces two tough contest in an important week for the Sooners. On Wednesday, they travel to Texas Tech in a 6 PM match in Lubbock, TX. They return home on Saturday for a Saturday night at 6 PM match against Iowa State.

The Sooner Volleyball Team had their best pre-season record at 10-2 in several years coming into the Big 12 play. Now, half way through the Big 12 regular season the Sooners are 1-3 and in 8th in the conference. They have played the two 'best' teams in Texas and Baylor and a pretty good team in Kansas (7th) and the 9th place team in West Virginia. During play this week, the Sooners play matches against two teams that are tied in 4th place with a 2-2 record. The young Sooners need to play well this week to advance up the Big 12 standings. If the Sooners can get to a 4-4 record by the midpoint of the conference play, they could help themselves a great deal.
