The Sooners will try to build upon the big win they picked up at Kansas last Sunday in 5 sets. In the first go-round through the Big 12 schedule, the sooners defeated WV 3 sets to 0 sets in Norman. While road wins in any sport is difficult, OU should be favored tonight slightly to win the match and post two-straight wins in the Big 12 for the first time this season.

Good luck to the ladies on their road trip to WV.

In the important last ten points of each set, the Sooners outscored WV 30-23 after OU reached 15 points in the three sets.

The trio of Megan Wilson, Taylor Preston and Alexis Shelton led the Sooners attack with 12.5, 12.5 and 12.0 points respectively. In the first set it was Shelton and Preston leading. Wilson and Shelton led the way in the second set and then Preston and Wilson led the 3rd set. In the middle of the net, Adria Oliver and Morgan Preston added 6.0 and 4.5 points respectively. The Sooners are playing as a team pretty well right now. Oklahoma will host two matches in the upcoming week as Texas Tech comes to Norman for a Wednesday night match at 6 PM and then Texas arrives in Norman on Saturday for another 6 PM match. Oklahoma stands at 3-8 in Big 12 play and 13-10 overall. Tech is 3-8 and 14-10 overall while Texas is 10-1 and 17-1 overall. The Sooners dropped both matches against Tech (1-3) and the Longhorns (0-3) in the first round of play in the Big 12 on the road. Hopefully the Sooners will have good crowds both nights to help them to succeed in both matches. The Sooners dropped both matches in the first round to Tech (1-3) and Texas (0-3). IMO, the Sooners can win the Tech match at home and the Sooners do have a chance to defeat the #1 ranked Longhorns for a true signature win for the Sooners. The Sooners need 1 win to guarantee at least a .500 record for the season. That win can occur against Texas Tech on Wednesday night.
