Post by OUBeliever56A »

The #1 Ranked, Defending National Champions Oklahoma Sooners Women's Gymnastics Team will be in Denver, CO on Sunday at 3 PM to compete in a Dual Match against the #9 Denver squad.

Here is the staff writers article about the trip to Denver.

The Dual can be watched on Altitude TV (subscription probably is required) with Brad Thompson and Marci Jenkins on the call. Live stats will also be available through Denver's SIDEARM Stats page for fans to follow the action.

Good luck to the Sooners on Sunday!

Coach KJ Kindler definitely had the Women's Gymnastics Team ready for their dual in Denver on Sunday afternoon. The #1 Sooners posted not just a great score, but the highest score this year by any team. The 198.425 is a mark that not many teams have accumulated. In OU history, only four others have exceeded that mark. Just WOW!

OU won every event over #9 Denver in the 148.425 to 147.425 score.

The Sooners were first up in the Bars. They won the event with a 49.625 over Denver's 49.400. OU totaled 4 - 9.900's or better with Aubrey Davis scoring a 9.975 to win the event.

OU followed on the Vault and won that event with a 49.550 over Denver's 49.275. OU posted 3 - 9.900's or better with Katherine Levasseur scoring a 9.975 to win the event.

OU was up next on the Floor and won the event 49.525 over Denver's 49.400. OU posted 3 - 9.900's or better with Jordan Bowers scoring a 9.950 to win the event.

The Sooners finished on the Beam with an old friend. The Sooners won the event 49.725 over the 49.350 Denver score. Once again the Sooners scored 3 - 9.900's in the event with Ragan Smith's perfect 10.0 to finish the event. But the appearance of Olivia Trautman was pretty big news as she performed for a counting score. Trautman posted a 9.950 with a perfect stuck landing to put an exclamation point on her return. On Beam, 5 Sooners scored 9.900 or better!

In the All-Around event, Jordan Bowers poted a 39.700 to win the event for the Sooners. Bowers posted 4 - 9.900's or better in a very strong effort by Bowers.

By my count, 9 Sooners tallied a 9.900 or better. The Sooners posted 15 total scored of 9.900 or better.

The great performance in Denver will keep the Sooner Women in first place in the country!

Here is the staff writers article about the tremendous effort in Denver.

The Sooners are up next on Friday night, February 3rd, at 6:45 PM in LLoyd Noble Center against Iowa State in another Big 12 dual meet.

Do yourself a favor, go see the Women's Gymnastics Team perform on Friday night. It is worth the effort to be there as everything about the event is first class with the best being the Sooner Women's performance.
