9th - Kansas State - 3-9 in conf. - 14-11 overall. NET ranking of #67
10th - TCU - 0-13 in conf. - 6-18 overall. NET ranking of #147

In case you missed it, here are the results from this weekend.

- Kansas beat Tech in Lubbock by 11, 78-67
- OSU upset Baylor in Stillwater and won big 77-56. OSU is playing very well right now. Baylor is not playing well right now.
- Texas got an easy win over TCU 70-50 in Austin.
- WV upset I-State in Morgantown by 13, 73-60. I-State seems to be struggling right now.
- OU defeated K-State in Manhattan 85-68.

In action during the mid-week there are just four games:
Tuesday:

Texas at Iowa State: I-State needs to get back on the winning track in a big game for them against Texas. Texas hs lots of bigs that will give I-State problems. I would love to take I-State, but I think Texas still wins. - 6 PM on ESPN+

Wednesday:

Kansas at West Virginia: The game will determine who moves ahead of the other team for what may be 6th place in the conference maybe even higher. At WV I think Kansas could have trouble winning. I will take WV at home. - 6 PM on ESPN+

Texas Tech at Oklahoma: The Sooners need to stay focused. The earlier meeting between the two teams showed that Tech can play a bit as OU won by 10 points 89-79. OU will win, hopefully by more at home in LNC. - 6 PM on ESPN+

Baylor at Kansas State: The Baylor Bears need to win this one. But K-State is tough inside and it may turn into a foul-plagued game inside. I will still take Baylor in this one. - 6:30 PM on ESPN+

Iowa State defeated Texas in Ames last night 66-61. Iowa State started really strong with a 22-11 1st Q. Texas mounted a comeback in the 4Q but their effort fell short. Those Texas 'bigs' that I mentioned above were all in foul trouble in the game Gaston, Faye and the two backups, the M & M ladies, all had 4 or 5 fouls in the game. Iowa State made as many free throws as Texas attempted.

This is good news for the Sooner women. They now have the Big 12 championship squarely in their hands. Play very well in the next five games starting Wednesday night, and they can hold up the regular season 'crown'.

In a side note, the Texas Men also lost night to Texas Tech, 71 - 74 in Lubbock. I wonder if they turned out the lights at their new Moody Center last night too.
