OU Women's Golf Team is off to the Clemson Inv this Weekend!

The Clemson Invitational is a 3-day 54-hole tournament on March 24-26 in Sunset, S.C., at The Reserve at Lake Keowee. It is the third spring event on the Women's Schedule.

The Sooner lineup features Savannah Barber (FR), Mikhaela Fortuna (SR), Nina Lang (JR), Kaylee Vesely (JR) and Meagan Winans (FR). Fortuna, Vesely and Lang have appeared in the lineup in all three spring tournaments. Maria Fernanda Martinez (Red-JR) will compete as an individual and will be making her spring debut.

The Oklahoma Sooners Women's Golf Team had a tough day on the course on Day 1 of the Clemson Invitational. the team shot a +29 round of 317 which places them in 16th position of 16 teams. The Sooners are 8 shots out of 13th place.

The second round at the Clemson Invitational was a big improvement for the Sooners as they shot a 303 (15-over par). The Sooners also did that without Fortuna playing as a 5th player.

The Oklahoma Sooners Women's Golf Team completed their play on Sunday in the Clemson Invitational Tournament with a 17-over par round of 305. For the tourney the OU Women shot a total of 925 for a 61-over par score. Oklahoma finished in the 15th spot in the tourney.

For the second straight day the Sooners only sent four team players to the course due to Fortuna not being able to play. Vesely shot a nice 73 on Sunday. Winans shot 76, with Barber shooting 77 and Lang shooting 79. Playing individually, Martinez shot her own 73.

The Women travel to Ardmore to play in The Bruzzy in Ardmore, Okla., at Dornick Hills Country Club on April 1-2. Good luck to the women next weekend.
