Looks like Baylor is saving Orme just for us. Are they overlooking Iowa State?? ISU took 2 out of 3 games from Baylor during regular season. Wel'll see....

Iowa State draws first blood in the top of the 3rd. Cyclones lead 1-0 with a runner on 2nd and 1 out. Baylor is making a pitching change but are still saving Orme at this point for the Sooners.

Game is resuming...... Baylor is bringing in Orme to pitch the 6th

Iowa State gets two doubles off of Orme and push another run across. They now lead 4-0 in the middle of the 6th.

Baylor gets a run on a single, a hit by pitch and a ground ball that was generously ruled a double but should have been the 3rd out. However, the Bears leave 2 in scoring position and trail 4-1 after 6 innings.

Iowa State hangs 4 more runs on Orme in the top of the 7th and now lead 8-1. Orme has been knocked out of the game with 2 outs. Looking like the Sooners will face a Cyclone in their 1st game.

Well....this kind of league-leading performance is why Baylor's Coach was on par with Coach Gasso in the Big 12 Coach of the Year Awards! It's the brilliant game planning and in-game decision-making that made him Patty's only equal this year in the Big 12. Losing 3 out of 4 games to Iowa State isn't as easy as it looks, folks! It takes dedication and a unique understanding of the game. Leading an historical and nation-leading 40+ game winning streak this year (4th in a row?) is not anything special when compared to Baylor's Head Coach THIS year. No sir. No mam.

Tech hits a 3 run Homer and leads Texas 5-2. This could be the year of the dogs in the Big 12 Tournament. Day 1 anyway!
