Big 12 Women's Basketball Standings, Rankings NET and Schedule

Post by OUBeliever56A »

Here are the Big 12 Women's Basketball standings, rankings and NET values as well as the schedule for Wednesday night's games cross the league.

Pos - Team ----- Big 12 -- Record --- AP - Coach -- NET Rank
1 - TCU ------------- 1-0 -------14-0 ------ #23 -- #23 -- #23 Ranking
1 - Baylor ---------- 1-0 -------12-0 ------- #6 ---- #9 ---- #8 Ranking
1 - West Virginia - 1-0 ----- 12-0 -------#24 --- #25 -- #21 Ranking
1 - Kansas State - 1-0 ------ 13-1 ------- #11 ---- #12 ---- #9 Ranking
1 - Texas Tech ---- 1-0 -------12-2 ------ NA --- NA ----- #52 Ranking
1 - Iowa State ----- 1-0 ------- 8-4 ------ NA ---- NA ----- #45 Ranking
1 - Oklahoma ----- 1-0 ------- 7-5 ------- NA --- NA ----- #70 Ranking
8 - Texas ----------- 0-1 ------- 13-1 ----- #10 ---- #10 ----- #3 Ranking

8 - Houston ------- 0-1 ------- 9-3 ----- NA ----- NA ----- #95 Ranking
8 - BYU ------------- 0-1 ------- 10-4 ----- NA ---- NA ----- #91 Ranking
8 - Cincinnati ----- 0-1 -------- 8-4 ----- NA ----- NA ---- #103 Ranking
8 - Kansas --------- 0-1 -------- 7-5 ------ NA --- NA ------ #55 Ranking
8 - Okla State ---- 0-1 -------- 7-5 ------ NA --- NA ------- #72 Ranking

The Big 12 Schedule for Wednesday Night is as follows:

Okla State (0-1) at UCF (0-1) - 5 PM CST, ESPN+ = A win is needed by both teams to stay out of the basement in the Big 12. UCF has been good at home this season, maybe they hold their home court advantage and win their first Big 12 game on Wednesday.

Cincinnati (0-1) at West Virginia (1-0) - 6 PM CST, ESPN+ = West Virginia should win this game at home in easy fashion to move to 2-0 in conference play.

Texas (0-1) at Texas Tech (1-0) - 6 PM CST, ESPN+ = Texas needs to rebound after their loss to Baylor. I wonder if the big transfer center can play Wednesday night after not playing against Baylor over the weekend. Tech has a chance to pick up a win over Texas in this one, especially with Texas reeling from the Harmon loss for the season.

Kansas (0-1) at Iowa State (1-0) - 6:30 PM CST, ESPN+ = Kansas did not look good losing on Saturday to West Virginia, they need a win. Iowa State picked up a road win at OSU. Maybe Iowa State can build upon their win and defeat Kansas for a 2-0 start in the Big 12.

Houston (0-1) at Kansas State (1-0) - 6:30 PM CST, ESPN+ = K-State won easily on the road at Cincy on Saturday. They probably should win over Houston at home, even without playing great on Wednesday night.

TCU (1-0) at Baylor (1-0) - 7:00 PM CST, ESPN+ = Baylor needs to keep their focus and win at home against TCU. If they drop a game to TCU, the win over Texas is minimized. TCU can help themselves with a win after the short drive to Waco. TCU could upset Baylor in this one.

Oklahoma (1-0) at BYU (0-1) - 8 PM CST, ESPN+ = Oklahoma got a big help from their bench on Saturday as they defeated UCF at home. Playing in Utah presents a few issues with OU's fast pace game. BYU has a good inside player in Gustin. How OU handles Gustin may determine the outcome of the game. That and the bench contribution of OU. Starting out 2-0 would be a big plus for OU.
